Hempafire Optima 515
A very low-VOC, one-component waterborne intumescent coating for passive fire protection of open structural steel sections.
Hempafire Optima 515 is a very low-VOC, one-component waterborne acrylic thin-film intumescent coating for passive fire protection of structural steel against cellulosic fires. Like the rest of the waterborne Optima range, it stays paint-like in service and only reacts when heat triggers it to expand into a protective insulating char.
One-component and waterborne, it is easy to handle and optimised for efficient on-site application on open sections.
Intumescent fire protection for structural steel in internal environments up to C3 (ISO 12944). Optimised for on-site application at R120 on open sections; shop application may be possible depending on the project. Suitable for:
- ✓ I-section beams
- ✓ H columns
It can also be used as a repair and touch-up coat for damaged areas of freshly applied Optima 515.
