Intumescent coatings look like ordinary paint but transform in a fire: under heat they swell into a thick insulating char that keeps structural steel below its failure temperature, buying vital time to escape. Hempafire systems protect I-beams, H-columns, hollow sections and cellular beams — applied on site or in the shop.
